Stock Pipes.....
Well, here’s the deal guys. I got a Euro bike, and if the States are gonna go the same way as Europe next year, you’all gonna get a shock.
As was mentioned in another thread a week ago, the diameter of the pipes are different, the lower one is like 1 inch and the higher one is maybe 20% bigger. It’s a 2 in one system, so that when you’re going say 30 mph only the small muffler works, then when you step on it, the second one “opens up”.
Result, …..you can’t even hear the stock pipes.
[:'(] I was so shocked at the sound at first; I was almost embarrassed to start her up in front of people. Virtually every person that heard the bike said, wow, doesn’t sound like a Harley to me. Apparently the U.S versions are not the same this year. They sound a little better. Although in 2008 they are going the same way I hear.
Today when I installed the Rush slip-ons 2.0, I finally heard the Harley sound. Man, they sound amazing. Totally amazing. I really should have recorded the two different sound bites. It would make you laugh.
Anyhow, couldn’t be happier, ……spent the whole damn day riding. [sm=drooldude.gif]
