2-weeks ago I ordered a wind shield, detachable saddle bags and the
lay down license plate holder with turn signal mounts from Zanotti's HD.
wind shield was on back order, then package was delayed at UPS. I knew
it was coming tonight, I talked the wife into letting me leave her work christmas
party early so I could come home and install that wind shield. The box was
on my front porch, it had been ripped open and re-taped. No way somebody
did that on my porch. Too many retired people near my house, and they watch
everything. Had to have been done at the dealer or at UPS. I got everything
else on time yesterday.
Anyone have any idea how long this will take to clear up. I really wanted that
shield for this weekend riding. Tomorrow I'll call Zanotti's, any crap I'll cancel
the order with the credit card co. and buy local. I'm really disappointed.
Packages can take a beating this hectic time of year ( I here this from fellows at the local ups shipping hub).
I think your issue is with the shipping company but if there is no damage ( hopefully) there's no issue .
I would take a picture of the box before you open it .
Had a similar problem here a couple of days ago .
My sons building a computer and had all the parts except the case .
Here comes UPS and the case box had some terrible gouges in it .
My money would have been on the case being damaged .
Not damaged........missing, except for a small bag of bolts. They
taped the box right back up. Even put the shipping plastic bubble
sh$t back in it. Called UPS, they want me to put it back out tomorrow
so they can pick it up. They said they would call Zanotti's. Told them
I will be calling too. The package was delayed in PA. It was one of
two packages I was getting. I bet it was delayed because someone
at UPS in PA. was getting a new wind shield.
mike,,, i feel your disapointment.... I think best , would be take it up w/nearst UPS.
I rarley order anything, for these reasons,, If I cant touch it, i dont buy
hope your prob's get resoloved

Thats too bad,but at least by paying with your credit card, you can refuse to pay for it untill you receive the part or a credit on your bill.Dealing with UPS dailey, the box was probably damaged and they opened to inspect, found part damage and just threw it away and shipped the carton.A thief would of taken the box along with the contents.UPS is definately going downhill on their package handling.
ive ordered a few things from Zannotti's with no problems (on their part). they had sent me an incorrect part- 99% because i *think* i gave my wife the wrong part number. one quick call to them and they sent the correct part out before the wrong part was sent to them. it was a $50+ bag...
sucks that someone stole your shield, but i would probably blame UPS
