Default Experience with HaulBikes

So I was wondering who else has had good and or mainly bad experiences with haul bikes?

I bought a '98 FLRH in Ft. Collins in mid January, and had my first shipper flake out on me, ended up going with haulbikes as they quoted me 2-3 weeks total time from pick up to drop off and $550.

I'm now at 23 days since pickup, and they still don't know when the bike will leave their warehouse. So assuming that if it leaves Monday (which they have no idea if it will), it will most likely take a week transit time, which puts it 33 days shipping time minimum. Much longer than what they quoted me.

Obviously I'm not super happy about this, but is there anything realistically can do about it? They kinda have my by the kahunas as I've already paid them.

Ideas?

Thumbs up Haul bikes

I worked for them for several years....not a bad company but have heard that with this bad economy they hold bikes in the warehouse a little longer to make full trucks, yea sucks for YOU.They do a good job with the actual hauling as most of the drivers do carry their personal bikes with them, I know I did when I worked for them.About the only thing you can do (If you have it in writing) is to ask for a partial refund. They are going to tell you the crap about scheduling...or late transfer,or weather ,sick driver......ect just listen..stay calm and hammer the fact that you have a time quote winch you paid for and they have not fulfilled the contract. You need to be reasonable so start at 20% off bill hoping for a 10/15% refund.Don't get sucked in to a next time shipping discount. As a driver we had to negotiate with the company on several late deliveries usually in the customers favor.Always check...check.....check....then recheck the bike when it does arrive. The driver is on a schedule and will try to drop and roll asap....not to get away with a damage...just to keep on schedule. When i drove for them I was out 3 weeks then home 2 or 3 days.If all else fails try to talk to Ken Durik on of the owners.
