Question for the Cali. guys.
How hard is the state getting concerning after market exhaust? I have heard they are really starting to crack down. Reason I ask is I ride CA. sometimes and am looking into doing my exhaust. Talked to V&H about some big shots and they told me they definitely aint HB friendly. Would I really have a problem? I know alot of guys are running the Chollo bikes. Are the coppers really getting that tough on loud exhaust, or is it if your being an *** theyll tag ya?

If you don't rack your pipes off in front of a LE you'll be fine. Some of the beach cities (Huntington for one) are less tolerant than others but there's no overall witch hunt. Don't be obnoxious and you should be fine.

Been riding Harleys since 88 with aftermarket (loud pipes) and have been pulled over several times and have never had a problem with my pipes. Have a 06 Ultra with V&H Pro Pipe now. No problem.

I live in HB and ride HB to Seal Beach on PCH back and forth to work every day. Never had a problem. I've got Longshots, currently running the quieter baffles.

I live in HB also. No problems unless you're a problem. Word on the street was that when the new chief came in one of the things he was gonna work on was the nuisance bikes. That was a couple years ago I guess. LEO's seem fair enough to me. I have an FXD with Rush 2.0 and no problems but I don't sit at the corner of Main and Olive and rev her up either.
The biggest problem HB has the highest rate of DUI arrests in the state....probably due to its rep as a party town, the original "Surf City" USA. Lotsa bars....so many the city is not approving any more Liquor licenses.
