I got a bagger because I wanted to take longer trips with less baggage to remove at every stop. I still ahve my sport bike for commutes to work, and local rides.

Rode my wife on the back of my FXDC from NC to DC for Rolling Thunder one year. When we got back, getting her "OK" to get an EG was no-problemo.

Bingo.

Personally, I can't see tooling around all that baggage when 90% of the time you're just going to work and back and day trips on weekends.

I think, on average, this weekend for every 10 bikes I saw, 6 were baggers. The rest were a mix of everything else. Like someone else said, it was nice to see so many other bikes on the road.

Me Dyna rider and me thinks there are a lot of baggers out there.

I've been watching them for a while now, and it would seem that many of the baggers are newer ones too. Not sure what's happening too all their trade-ins, but they've gotta be around somewhere.

And here in WI, this was probably the earliest I've ever been out. And I have never seen that many bikes out on one weekend as I did this weekend.

Yes I noticed more baggers then others, I'm 36 and I'll stick with my fatboy lo with removable accessories. I just love this bike and for me that's all that matters.

When did the baggers versus all other Harleys thing start?

I like pretty much all Harleys, I just picked the one that fit the type of riding I do most frequently. On a RK at least my bags don't weigh anything and they don't keep me from doing anything that I could do on any other Harley, but they enable me to take trips on it that I couldn't otherwise. I guess more people are starting to feel the same way. I enjoy a ride for the sake of a ride, but I also enjoy being able to take the bike somewhere that I have to go anyway, even if I have things I have to take with me, or get while I'm there.
