haha- i just did the opposite- bought a 3/4 cuz im tired of having to put earplugs in everytime i ride except in the hottest of weather. I really like the 3/4- screw the fashion police!! lolol
Bought a 3/4 helmet for winter riding,I get twice the amount of wind noise in that sucker than I ever got from my 1/2.
I have the same problem , I own three or four (don't ask why ) half helmets and they are all the same. underneath the liner is a type of high density foam that will crush if you work it with your thumb and create a pocket for ears to slip into , works for me .

I'm with you, I love the half helmet but got sunburn every year on my face. Went to a full face, then a modular and couldn't stand to wear them. Bought the Harley 3/4 with the drop down sunshield and it's the best of both worlds. Gives you the feeling of freedom like the half but protests against the elements too. I'm sold on 3/4 right now.
