met a lady from Michiganon a Honda 750yesterday at a Patriot Guard ride (save the comments, she was happy and riding & that's what it's all about). She had these big things on both throttle and clutch sides that were lined and covered in canvas. Turns out they are a snowmobile accessory. She said they work in 25 degree weather with no heated grips.
Too bad they are not easy to remove (at least hers weren't) 'cause it was 80 degrees yesterday and I'm sure her hands were sweating (along with her backside sitting on a sheepskin seat cover!)..
They were UGLY though. Still might not be a bad idea here in Fl where the cold is short lived.

yup too many would rather look good in new t shirt on bar stool than to ride in cold
Aerostich has a $27 heated grip kit and polar hands has a mitt that work great

Hippo hands work great but the looks... I tried ATV QUad Boss types and too much air gets in... I got some heated glove lines and heated socks for when it get below 40 or 35... Gerbings make the heated gloves for Harley but you can get much better prices... also look at www.cozywinters.com that is where i got my liners for $50.00

I remember those. Today's glove technology does do away with the need in my opinion

Almost the same design is used by some kayaking bros, except they are made of neoprene and work well in super cold water. But, kind of dorky... seems not entirely safe on a scoot...

+1 on fugly but work like a charm. who cares how bad they look. its not permanant. use them when you need too.

i am a big proponant of function or looks. winters here in florida are not too bad, but dont think that my fat a$$ hasnt gone down the road looking like the michelin man on more than a few occasions on a cold day/night.

the heritage is my sole transportation, use the gauntlets if you have to. (cold hands in january are the catalyst for many a statement from me that start with "i shoulda got a geezer glide" haha

The pain of riding with cold hands goes away soon after you get off the bike.
The pain of the humiliation of having those things on my bike would last forever.
