They did a test on penatrants and said Kroil was the best(I love that stuff). BUT. They had the best results out of a homemade mix of a 50/50 cut of automatic trans fluid and acetone. Give it a try sometime.

GM doesn't make paint. All the big 3 use either BASF, PPG, or DuPont. They all make the same paint. They have to. They mandate that all 3 make the same paint so in the event something happens to one, the other two can ramp up production to meet the need of the automaker.

So how do you avoid the superstitious bad mojo with green paint?
Easy, green powder coat.

im not talking about actual "making the paint" im talking about R&D for the color. and i wasnt nitpicking on specifics. i was just responding to the ford diss with a smartass response. by the way broke off the front head lower stud. sticking out about a 1/8 inch. borrowed the jig to drill it out if i have to gonna wait till monday when i can get the stud remover socket from work. just put them on to see how they look. also did drag to lower pipe once on a turn and one of the trans bolts that holds the factory bracket on is broken also. they are radii exhaust i think called sweepers. bought the radii baffles from j&p they were too small. sleeved them and installed them. gonna see how they sound soon. cant wait already got my pcv tune from fuel moto just cant do anything on sunday have to go to the zoo with the family for mothers day.

It's an evalution thing. See way back at the beginning of man we had to hunt for our food and avoid getting eaten at the same time. Well green things: trees, leaves, bushes etc... don't move. So our eyes adjust to the fact that "green" is neither food nor something that eats us. Fast forward to the days of cars and motorcycles. The human eye still can not actulaterly judge the speed of green colors things. So car drivers constentely miss judge the speed of green motorcycle and pull out in front of them and BANG. Maimed or dead motorcycle rider.

Those pipes look nice. I hate it when studs or bolts break. I bought some stuff from an industrial supply house that I'm going to try with the next frozen bolt.

best way to get broke stud out is to weld a nut on the stud and then just unbolt it , heat while welding loosens stud from head and its super easy . im not even sure how many studs ive take out of friends bikes like this after they broke them off
