I have no reason to add more power to my 1200C. Here in Japan you cannot get up to more than 50mph most times anyhow and if you do you are wayyy over the speed limit.
I use it all the time. But there are a lot of people who don't. I get stuck behind them all the time. Spends thousand in upgrades, then poke along at 65mph (speed limit is 75).
Kinda like the old guy who buys a corvette. I hate getting stuck behind that guy.
The newness of the increased power from engine mods may wane but having the increased power on tap remains and is always nice to have. It seems just as justifiable as the megabucks spent on gobs of chrome, paint, and accent lights that are only eye candy. Yet we all remove perfectly good pegs, bars, grips, pipes, and so on only to replace them with pegs, bars, grips, pipes, and so on that may or may not function any better than the oem parts they replace.If someone has the bucks and wants the increased performance thatâs fine with me.
I use it alot cuz about 90% of my riding is at 85 mph on the So Cal freeways on my commute. I'm 235 lbs and have a 135 mile round trip daily which takes me from my home at 4200' elevation down into San Diego at sea level and then back up home again into the mtns. I've got some long uphill grades to deal with along the way and the95" motor isn't even breathing hard - it takes it all effortlessly even when riding two-up with my son on the back who takes the payload up to about 400pounds with the both of us -I can set the cruise control and take a 6+% uphill grade without blinking in 5th gear and if I have to pass on that hill that's a breeze too...
ive always had very fast bikes.... my last bike was a modded Yamaha Warrior that was pretty quick. however, while ive thought about a 95" upgrade, the stock 88 suits me just fine now. as long as it runs good and strong, ill be ok.
recently, i rode with a friend who has a Deuce/95". on the highway- he couldnt pass me. it was kinda funny knowing how much he has invested in his ride... but either way, ill wait. but when the day comes, im quite sure i would use the newfound power very frequently.

Could not have said it any better myself. It is nice to know you have it when you want / need it. Coming off my last two bikes (1000cc and 1200cc sportbikes) the lack of power is killing me. Plus, I two up 90% of the time so the additional power is MUCH needed.
Just waiting for everything to shake out prior to making my power plans. Have a buddy that knows Kendall Johnson and swears 140hp is possible without having to rob a bank.
My Ultra has minimal upgrades to date and for the most part I'm pretty satisfied with it's performance and the investment in these. I would love to have additional torque for those times I'm riding two up andpulling my loaded down trailer. Once the funds are available I'll be looking to throw some this way. IMO there is no such thing as to much of a good thing!

I am in the process of going to a 95in on the 05 Dyna. I just felt that I would like to have the power if I need it and will probably utilize the upgrade. I look at it this way, I live in the snowbelt in Northwest PA, I may not need 4 wheel drive all the time, but its nice to know that I have it if I want it.
I figure the performance upgrades can wait until I've at least found reason to crack it open to full throttle.
Right now, a quick twist,at any speed in any gear, feels like it's going to peel me right off the back of the bike. The huge heaping gobs of power I've got compared to theold Yamaha makes me think I'll probably never really need more. The Bob does zero to holy crap in nothing flat already, without pushing it,so I'm certainly good for awhile. (But you never know, I didshoehorn a 350 4bbl inmy old flatnose GMC mid-engine van, so I've been known to do silly things for that feeling ofpower - but it's still a little safer peeling the rubber off the tires in that than on a bike) I'm the last person to tell someone not to go for more power, though. There may be such a thing as enough, but there's no such thing as too much (as long as you can handle it).
I did upgrade to the Screaming Eagle slip-ons, but that was for looks not performance.
