The Burly slammer kit is a drop in. Takes about 1 hour. Remember to adjust your fork oil.
I did the burly slammer kit and changed the fork fluid. Put the stock amount it. 26.6oz but it still rides like a$$. The forks barley move. Where do you recommend the fluid level should be.
Question, did ya drill out and enlarge the fluid passage ports on the PIPE COMP, BOTTOM 46606-06 while you had it a part?
Didn't the Burly instruction sheet tell you the proper amount of fluid needed for the change out? If not, give them a call...........
ps: Nice pillion pad..
I did call them and they told me the stock amount was fine. I never got any instructions with it thanks to JP cycles. Is there a certain way to fill the shocks. I emptied them all the way then While they were fully compressed I added the fluid (from Harley) and compressed them a bunch of times to get the fluid in the bottom of the fork aswell caped the top then put them back in.
PS. I hate the look of a dual seat so suction cups do just fine hahaha. I tell her to hold on tight
Ain't the fork oil gomer it's the slammed bullshit you guys seem to love so much , you get the lowering by cutting out the travel , can we get a big DUH!!! here ?
Well yes but when I am riding and I apply front brake the suspension does not give at all. Even if I hit them a little on the harder side the tire will just lock up. My buddy has the same suspension and he's feels nothing like mine. His almost feels stock. I belive the guy before me messed with the fluid, that's y I changed it but is still doing the same ****. Just was wondering if I added the fluid the correct way that's all.

Now, now, now you were a FNG once, even I looked in the open end of a fire hose nozzle "ONCE"

Took 6oz out. Started the top caps and let the front end done about an inch on the ground then tightened them up. And now it is as smooth as stock. The stock amount was too much fluid it was almost al the way up the tube. Had about 2 1/2 inches if that to travel. But all fixed now.

glad you got it all figured out.
BTW, with the front just being a drop-in kit did you have to change the fluid, or was that just something you had planned on doing anyway?

You'll learn why that's a bad idea , be a waste of time to try and explain it . Good luck buddy .
