Just on the Dallas news 6P/M..
a rider with a brand new HD crashed ,and he and his female Passenger were killed ..something about excessive speed and a concrete something ..
Bad news
Really sad. I just read the article. 1 AM on highway 67 in Cedar Hill. This is the 2nd reported fatality in the area this week - both solo "lost control, hit divider" incidents.
Please guys.... please don't out ride your abilities. And please consider wearing a helmet - not against personal freedoms... just so sad to see fellow riders leave us before their time.
Sad, but... this is what happens when you do stupid ****. Seriously, I know 3 guys who crashed & died in the last 4 years. 2 were a father & son killed a year apart. All 3 rode like total ******** - full throttle all the time & just doing dumbest stuff. The son was killed when he crashed his metric into another metric doing some "tribute stunt" in front of the funeral home at his friend's funeral - who... wait for it, wait for it... died doing stupid **** in traffic on his metric, the week before!
I know I'll probably hear **** for being insensitive or whatever, but come on. It's hard for me to feel sorry for "victims" who, because of their riding style, were always just statistics waiting to happen anyway. The people I do feel sorry for are the loved ones left behind.
"When God ordains a man to die he directs them to that place an time" A quote from Frank Herbert's Dune. Some things can be prevented but when its your time its your time.
It's always "your time" when you die! Who else's time would it be? I'm with Dickey... Nobody's getting out of here alive, but we can extend our time if we choose to.
