Hello all. What are your suggestions for the best polish to use for my solid rear rim.
The previous owner did not pay too much attention to it. Has small marks that appear to be water or some type of chemical. There are no deep scratches at all. I just want an awesome finish that i can maintain.
I don't know if you can get this stuff in S/ Africa but I use the metal polish on my Nightrain solid rear wheel, if you can't get hold of this any metal polish should do the job as long as it is slightly abrasive.
Mothers Billet polish on the mini-ball is what I use on mine. It's still a pain, I'm thinking about getting the wheel chromed when I need a new rear tire.
X-treem metal polish best stuff I've found for aluminium , easy to use cottom wadding just rub on then wipe off the residue . No scrubbing of hard rubbing needed and the shine lasts a long time . Make semi-chrome and other pastes look like a joke .
Thanx for the suggestions. Iv used some polishes that have a soft abrasive. But still have those small marks. Think ill get some mothers. They do sell it here. Best i think is chrome rear wheel when i get a new tyre. Looks awesome? . . . .
Just had a thought maybe the previous owner lived or went with bike to the coast and it's salt damage, in which case as you say you'll be better swopping it out for a chrome wheel.
