The data rides on pin 2 from the OBDC, which connects to pin 3 on the Harley end.

Does that make sense?

Reviving an old thread.

Want to know if the same wiring set up (Harley side connector pin out -- ELM side connector) works for 2012 & 2013 Harley Dynas with CAN Bus systems.

Here's a page that will help anyone needing cable info...

The ELM327 Bluetooth Module can be had from Amazon, eBay, or DealExtreme.

Looks like there is a new one that works wirelessly on Apple iPhones and Android called RPMitUp.

Found a youtubes and it says it does HP and torque calculations also:

Default 2014 FLHTK CAN BUS question

Here is a picture of the connectors on my 2014 FLHTK:

There are 2 possible connectors, both have more than 4-pin plug. My question is: which of the 2 plugs is the one to use to connect to the CAN BUS? Also, does anyone know the make/type of connector I need to use as well as the pinouts?

TIA.

Ron

Harley Droid does not work with the HD Canbus system.

Not sure if the RPMITUP program has any details regarding working with Canbus system.

There is a paid app, which provides a cable alongwith the app and they claim it works with Canbus systems.

ZeroThoughts: Any idea what is the name for this app?

Also, is anyone on this forum familiar with the 2014 CANBUS wiring diagram or which of the 2 connectors is used for CANBUS connection?

TIA.

Ron

Finally got some time with a new 2016 HD Breakout that uses the CAN BUS system. We got a dashboard that can display the speed and one that can display the RPM. That's probably going to be the limit of what we can do for a while because of the amount of data that is being processed. Check it out:
