Default Riding gear

Besides the Harley shops, where is a good place to go try on a lot of riding gear? I'm a newbie so I want to find out what fits me. Boots, jacket, helmet, gloves, etc.

I'll be stopping by the Allen Harley shop this weekend to try some stuff on, but I'd also like to try out other things too.

I found www.motoliberty.com off 35 in Dallas, and High Five bikes in Dallas.

Metric bike shops have a wider selection of gear than some Harley shops. Good place to figure out what you like.

+1 Definitely!

None of my local HD dealers have much in the way of protective gear. Silly OP, everyone knows it's not cool to wear gear on a Harley!

Leatherup is always a good place. Good prices. Also Eagle leather out of Lakewood WA. Used both.
I guess I should read better. Once you decide on what you like you can shop the net. Find stuff cheaper.

BTW, Harley dealerships in my area carry a pretty good variety of gear. The helmet selection is definitely weak, but everything else is not bad. The thing is though, they only carry one label: Harley; and everything is badged like a friggin Harley billboard. Also, Harley rain gear is about as good as it gets for performance and price.
