After a recent thread about helmets I dropped a line to Schuberth in Germany inquiring about their products. I just recieved a response from them (Surprise). They said that at this time they cannot sell their products here in the US and that they have no dealer network. They also said that they have been working on getting into this market and that there will be an announcement of their new sales network at the Indianapolis Dealers Expo in February of 2007.
All their mc helmets look pretty good, but I like the one with the chin bar instead of the full face. All the research I've done indicates that it's a good helmet. Other riders say it's very comfortable, well ventilated and doesn't restict your vison too badly, but it is expensive. Sure would like to try one.
I've had my eye on that same helmet. Found a "discount outlet" in England that would ship one but the price was around $700. ($125 of that was shipping. Too much for me.
Been hoping that Nolan, HJCor others would pick up on theidea and put something out for a lot less $$$. Sure would be nice to have a safer 3/4 lid for hot weather..
They, like alot of manufacturers, probably don't want to market their product here because of their exposure to litigation. Being sued by, more often than not, idiots.

They were availible here in the U.S. through the helmet shop
I've tried them on in one of the local shops here in Cal.. They are excellent helmets but the fit is a problem for some. There isn't much room in the chin area. This is the brand of helmet used by the Ferrari team in F1, those guys can have any helmet in the world!
I called Central Coast Mechanics in San Luis Obispo California. 805-786-4559, they sell them.
