Respectable time. That's about what my Wing would do.

That is in the muscle car arena.
I googled "softail slim 1/4 mile times" before going to the drags tonight, so I knew what to expect from my bike, anyway I found your post and was expecting a similar time, but got a nice surprise with my best run of the night being 12.71 at 103.46 mph.

Rather do 12.7 on a Harley than 9 on a Bussa.
There's a Suzuki forum on the internet somewhere for Bussa talk.

Gotta be able to easily pass an mini-van on a grade at least. A stock 2-up Ultra would have to work hard...

I agree, Had two, and needed to slow down. That's why I bought a Harley. Never understood why people want to spend all kinds of money to make it go faster when all your going to beat is another Harley. Just my opinion, Not bashing Harley by any means, I own one and it is one of the best looking motorcycles out there for sure.

As long as there have been wannabees there has always been Harley against the fastest bikes out there. To this day never understood why this always happens especially when the whole world knows Harleys were built to satisfy the cruisers.

Must be the I got the biggest and the best mentality.

The local indy that dyno'd my bike has a customer who's put about $30K into a 2011 Street Glide. Gone through all the stage upgrades and added a supercharger. 197 hp. No clue what the track numbers are though.

I met and talked to the guy a couple of days ago, he just got married and now he's trying to sell it. Thought that was funny.

With a 155 inch RK and a 427 Hoss???

Why is there virtually never any middle ground in these discussions? Either be happy with stock or get a "Busa" too many say...
I say a mild performance increase makes a bike much more versatile; I've toured with loaded 2-up FLH's that need a country mile to pass on a two lane...gets a little boring being locked into "cruiser" mode 100% of the time with no power to spare...

Bring your checkbook and pick your numbers; oh yeah - and do your homework first

Well, in my opinion Harleys are slow compared to just about any other motorbike. You could spend thousands and it will still be slower than a japanese sports bike that costs a fraction of the harley. And if you could get a Harley to go well in a straight line, then the sportsbike would have far better brakes and go round corners much quicker.

Speed wasn't the reason I bought my Harley, I have a Honda for going quick. To be fair though I put way more miles on my Harley than the Honda.
