I found that my 2005 Road King stock seat was the worst thingI ever sat on .....I bought a Mustang and love it.... best move I made for that bike
I have recently purchased a 07 Ultra Classic andI don't find this seat really to bad. SoI'm going to try a strap-on gizmo before going to the exspense of another Mustang seat first.
What seems to work best as a quick strap on option?
I had trouble with my '05 Heritage seat. First, I bought an Air Hawk and then returned it; just didn't work for me. A large number of folks convinced me to buy a Mustang. I guess I may be one of few that had problems with a top-of-the-line touring Mustang seat with the back rest. It was slightly better than the stock seat. On my trip to Sturgis, I couldn't wait to stop and fill up. I could ride with it no more than an hour or so before I started moving around. While in Sturgis, Ibought a memory gel pad (large blanket)that has gel and memory foam from www.airrider.combooth. I rode it from Sturgis to Cheyenne with no discomfort at all. In Cheyenne, I bought a new '07 Ultra and transferred the blanket to it. Now, I can stay on the Ultra from pee to pee without any butt dogs barking.
My **** got pretty sore on a long haul once while out to the Cripple Creek Veteran's Salute. I was in real painwhen a dude came around selling nice sheep skin strapons. I was surprisehow much better it was with this on my stock seat.It wasa life saver & really made a believer out of me.I later got a Mustang seat and have never used it again but I'm keeping it forthat coast to coast ride I hope to take someday.
