BEEF UP THE FATBOY! I've got a 99' also and I love it!I've got the versatility strip it down for local cruisingor dress it up for road trips orwith the detachable windshield, back-rest andsaddlebags. I think it's a great all around bike!
Good Luck Deciding!
I was all set to stick a 113" S&S in my 99 Fatboy this spring until that darn DX made my head spin again !! Choices ! Choices !!
So, guys, need your opinion if I should stick to my Fatboy and do the hop up or ditch the boy and stradle the DX.
Wish I could buy both....if only I had deeper pockets....
Dare to be different!! I would go with the DX if I could afford one, I have a 99FLHT and a 06 FXD in the garage, now i wish I would have bought the DX.. instead of the 06 FXD,, lot of things going for it and looks is one..I had a BMW K-100 for 14 years and it was a 3 cyl. watercooled bike, didn't like the seating on it but other then that I liked the bike...but then if I had to have just one bike and one only I would still go with my orginal 99FLHT, it does everything.
