Yes, you are right,wore them every time on my 1000RR,but dont plan on going 190mph on my harley.(yes, all actions were performed by a pro on a closed road)of course! Dont need the leather vest or fingerless gloves either.Actually, just got the leather vest that has the spine protector in it,but didnt buy it to "look cool"....

They do a good job but in combination with ear buds it blocks the obnoxious road noise.
