Well, I ended up selling the Jeep today. Picked up some oil for the Buell, and am going to try and get it running tomorrow. If I am lucky, I will be able to sell it before the end of the month. Then, it'll just be me and the Harley.
I know there's a couple of others out there that don't have anything but a bike. I just feel really weird looking out front and realizing I no longer have a cage to go to the drivethu, or run for smokes, or whatever. Anywhere I go now, I am either riding or walking. Or maybe, taking the bus. Heck, I don't even have a bicycle.
How will you deal with groceries, etc.? I have a '05 Chevy Silverado that might get 20 miles put on a month. Use it for the bigger grocery runs and Sam's Club, once in a while to Lowes or Home Depot, hauling yard waste to the dump, filling the 5 gallon water bottles cause the tap water here is awful, etc. It's paid for and only has 56k on it. It mostly sits and grows spider webs but is very useful when needed.
I've thought about this a lot lately and know I could get by without it, but can't give it up. What I really hate is having to pay $800 a year for insurance on it when I barely use it.
It was a 2008 JK X, 2 door. And groceries are handled with bungee cords, and paper please, not plastic. I just double bag. Sometimes have to make more than one trip to the store. I know about what the bike will carry.
Cageless here. I found out I can put almost $175 of groceries in my Ultra Classic. For bigger stuff I have a good buddy will let me borrow his pick up truck 3-4 times a year for some beer and pizza money.

No ****, it's amazing what you can stuff into an Ultra. Mine will haul some serious groceries. Like others here, I have a cage but it gets driven very little. Mostly hauling my dirt bikes or Rhino out to the boonies.
