I still dig the loud pipe strategy. A lot of people say that they point backwards so no one hears them. To which I say, your aren't loud enough then.
I use the throttle like a horn. Clutch it and blip in slow traffic, just open her up at speed.

I for one say watch out for nature I hit a pigeon in the head at 40 that hurts and then last year hit a dear at 70 I made it threw ok but bike did not. remember ride threw the dear and try not to lay it down
