So I walk into Barnes HD in Langley BC today, thinking there might be a chance Canada would have some obsolete parts I'm after (not) and while the guy is checking I look at the price on a quart (well, a liter) of Syn3 and it's $9.95CAD - $2 cheaper than the US dealer........I thought stuff what supposed to be higher, WTH?

Barnes has some pretty good deals on **** sometimes. when you go in there ask for Waylon at the parts counter, great guy to deal with.
What is more expensive in Canada? We were biking up to Cranbrook last year. My son saw a HD vest that he'd never seen before and got so excited he bought it. Not cheap.
Later back in the US I saw the same vest in Spokane Wash. And the cost was maybe $10 less. Given the exchange rate that did not seem too bad and he would have paid sales tax in Wash.
Gotta remember that in Canada taxes are built in, but in the US they're not.

What? The taxes are "built in". Where exactly are they built in.
I know I take my goods to tge check out counter and they add the appropriate sales tax and gst. So I'm not exactly sure how they are "built in"

He got confused when someone told him about bottle refunds being a tax. LOL
Barnes has a dammed nice shop - there was a RK based trike in the corner, looked like it had mostly factory parts other than the trike kit claimed to have nearly $80K into it - on sale for $59K, that must be where they are recouping the price difference on oil.

Actually this trike in Barnes Showroom is a factory 2010 FLHXXX that was modified and "had" jockey shift and foot clutch and has been changed back to conventional shifting . Yes someone got very carried away with this build and it has approx $73 k into it , so yes they are looking for offers .
p51,
Thanks for pointing out this oversight. The employee responsible has been terminated, and deported to the U.S.
The price is currently $13.95 per liter. Happy now?
Sincerely,
