well, I'll start things off here. Spoked wheels & white wall tires. Than a solo leather seat with 2 chrome springs under the back of it. The bars would be mini apes at a minimum. You would have to fab a dash to fit on a set of fat bobs & get an ol' style chrome headlight pot.
For exhaust I think I would go with fish tails for the look!
If ya had the money, you would pull the mill & buy one of the new shovel look alike engines or maybe a pan but thats a lot of cash.
& low to the ground!
Hatch.

Because people are never happy with the way things are, always wanting things to be the way they were. I'm too young to say it was better back then though, so I won't, although I doubt it was.
Retro is the future!
To the OP:
You'll need a Springer too. Admittedly I'm super biased though. Also, being realistic (that's hard for me sometimes) RSD makes some finned rocker box covers. Retro look for the modern engine. I think they look cool, but I can't bring myself to spend $500 on them.

And what does it mean anyway? To a 15 year old it means 1990's. To me it means 1950's. At least I think it does. Unless 1950's is "old school." I just don't know.

Being young is the whole reason you do need a shovel , every 20 something I know wants one in a bad way the few that do have one are the **** in the circles they run in .

Crazy
No no no! 70's would be "old school" 50's are retro.
I'm making this up but it sounds good.

Actually I'd like a knuckle. But a shovel would be sick too. Either way!
We always want what we don't have,
To me, retro is the 50's, albeit I'm from the early 60's. Everything comes back around, but I didn't wear a leisure suit the first time amd won't this time or the nexr.
I bought a Corbin solo not too long ago and II love it. I tried a spring seat, but no matter what look I'm going for my butt has to be comfortable.
I'm not thrilled at the moment with the sound of my V&H Big Shots, and am looking at pictures of duals with fishtails on the net and Youtube.
I'll get a pic of my bike posted in the next day or so.
Keep coming with the ideas.
I love my Fat Boy, but I was looking at some bikes from the 40s and 50s and maybe I'll get one later on when my sons are older enough to ride- they'll need a bik so I'll let them use the fatty and get something else, although I was considering a Road King Classic.
I have lots of chrome, and I lowered my bike with my Progressive Suspension. I am on the fence with apes, but they do look sick- maybe I'll put on 14" Carlini Evil Apes. I'm moving to the half moon footbards and looking at the bober a/c sover from the MOCO, and I'd love to put som nice spokes on with possibly a 21" front wheel when I burn my current tires up through the summer and fall.
