This is without the HD rack. I made a small stainless plate and bolted thru the bag into the back rest pad.
I routinely carry a multitool, kickstand pad, sunblock, tire pressure gauge, cable lock, Xena rotor lock, camera, and there's still room for my large Dunkin coffee every morning.
Since the fender braces on my Superglide have a space between them and the fender, I put a $20 Walmart fork bag on each side. One side for tools and the other for documents and stuff.
Looks like mini saddle bags. Then I added the fender rack to throw over regular saddle bags when I need to haul more stuff. The small bags act as struts to keep the saddlebags out.
Just did this and didn't take a pic. Will do tomorrow.
Hard to see the little bag secured to the fender brace as it started raining (we need rain bad) and my flash did not go off inside the garage. But you can see the throw over bag and how it is held out.

Make sure you post the pic, im interested in this and its cheaper than buying supports for really small set of bags.
Swingarm bag gets my vote. Anything else just looks stupid.
Shakey
What about those of us who think Swingarm bags look stupid ? They do you know and you can't really put anything in them besides paper or light weight cloths .
