It's very rare that I don't back in. A steep hill might be the other way around, but I'm more comfortable with my rear wheel on the kerb.

I'll no longer park my motorcycle in gear. Even with the key out, kill switch off, my bike auto started and took off and rolled on its side. Wasn't a HD however.

The Texas DPS Motorcycle Operators Manual states: " Park at a90° angle to the curb with your rear wheel touching the curb."

I hate parking in normal car spots but yea i back in if its smart and i can pull out in gear up hill.

Lol i ran into this the other day when i pulled my bike into the small snow shoveled part of my drive way faceing downhill like a noob.
Finished washing it and then sat there scratching my head as to how i was gonna get it back in the garage since it was surounded by snow and ice.
I ended up holding the front brake and standing in front of the bike with my left foot under the front tire. Then i kicked it into nuetral with my right foot and started pushing. The real tricky part about this was getting my hand off the brake and onto the grip so i could push it up hill backwards into the garage. funniest part about the whole thing was i literally turned it aroudn in the garage before pulling out[&:]yes im smaaaaart...

I ALWAYS park the bike on the correct incline. I back into a space that is declined and I head into a space that is inclined. That way I do not ever have to back the bike uphill to get out. If it is level ground, I back in so I can just head right out.

yup what he said

tho i do screw the pooch sometimes and mess up. Nothing like trying to backup an 800lb bike uphill!
