Myself and 6 friends headed out yesterday. Made a loop down to Jamestown ND then east to Fort Ransom ND then worked our way back home for a 473 mile day.
I did learn one thing, I will not get much more then 200 miles on a tank of fuel. Did a 198 mile stretch without topping off and it took 5.12 gallons to fuel it up. I can't remember but I believe the 05 baggers have a 5.2 gallon tank. LOL. Got just a tick under 40mpg running an average of 65-68 mph. We had to send a guy back about 10 miles with some fuel to rescue one guy on a yamaha strataliner that ran out.
