Just got back from a trip to the Texas Hill Country on my new Commander IIs. Part of the trip was heavy rains. Even at 60 plus mph in the driving rain, they were glued to the road. Never have had a better rain tire. Stay tuned for more performance reports.
Same here.. put them on two weeks before our trip last month. First day out we rode 6 hrs in the rain. never felt loose at all at any speed, put about 250 miles in that day, then on the 5th day out another 4-5 hrs in the rain.
IMO All good
Remember that with the dry summer we had the first rain after a dry spell the Roads can be a lot slicker than Usual for a while.
that may be the issue some are having.
Also new tires need to ridden couple hundred to get the mold oils off them.

Yeah it hardly ever rains up here in the Idaho Panhandle, friend, and 12K on the suckers since this June, must still be whole lot of mold release left on 'em, cuz they been bad in the rain at the start, in the middle, and now at the end of the tread life. Glad they are working out for you.
