Once you get a stone chip or two you'll settle for scratches ......

That's the truth! Everything I have, except the lawn mower, is gloss black and a PITA. I just love how it looks, though.

Commitment, addiction, obsession - it's all the same. It ensures that us **** retentive people will always have something to do...

The HD scratch remover works well. Also don't rub off the dust and dirt dry, always wet; I use either a spray detailer or Lemon Pledge. If I do need a quick dusting, I use my wife's feather or micro-filament dusters...

NONONONONO!!! That stuff SUX! Used it once & made it worse!!

Best I have found for black is Nanowax spray wax.

Have bought a few new black bikes, & a new black car, and there were always light scratches brand new from the factory. That's life when you have black stuff. One of the reasons I now like having both bikes in white.

Meguiars Scratch X, followed up by their carnauba wax. Will look fine as long as the scratches aren't too deep.

That's what I use and it works great. Except I used NXT tech wax which is more of a clearcoat sealer than wax.

I throw a quick coat of Lemon pledge on my 2011 SG every week. I don't ever see any scratches.

Try to decipher the scratches in the clear coat or the color coat...It can be decieving!
