Calling all 2003 anniversary edition bikes!
Little known fact for the '03 anniversary bikes. If the bike was ordered in the first 1/2 of the cycle, it was either Vivid Black, Gunmetal, or silver and black with the 3-D tank emblems. If the bike was ordered in the 2nd 1/2 of the cycle, other colors were offered with the tank emblems being a decal.
On the tank instead.

The most notable 100th Anniversary identification is included on models with the Two-Tone Sterling Silver and Vivid Black paint combination with Anniversary decal striping. All models in this livery feature a two-piece 100th Anniversary bright chrome tank emblem with a gold Bar & Shield; an Anniversary logo embossed seat; 100th detailing on the derby, air cleaner and timing covers; and a 100th Anniversary nameplate. Anniversary gold cast wheels also available on some two-tone models and all will have the 100th Anniversary engine medallion insert.
A second variation of 100th Anniversary identification is available on models sporting Vivid Black or new Gunmetal Pearl paint. All models in these colours will have Anniversary decal striping and a bright chrome 100th Anniversary tank emblem with chrome Bar & Shield cloisonné insert. All models will carry the 100th Anniversary engine medallion insert and a 100th Anniversary nameplate.
The three colours carried over from 2002 - Luxury Rich Red Pearl, Luxury Blue Pearl and White Pearl - featuring subtle 100th Anniversary identification and will be offered on selected models only. The exciting VRSCA V-Rod, introduced in 2001, is an exception with a choice of either Sterling Silver and Vivid Black Two-Tone or its original Anodised Aluminium. Each colour option has its own individual set of 100th Anniversary decals.
The Sportster 883R will continue to be offered in the only appropriate colour for this motorcycle: Harley-Davidson Racing Orange with checker graphics and subtle Anniversary markings.
Harley's stunning V-Rod retains its original Anodised Aluminium but for 2003 will also be available in paint for the first time. Two-Tone Sterling Silver and Vivid Black.
I've always loved them, and they look GREAT in the 100th paint schemes!

Way back when I saw the first release info for the 100th bikes, the Blue Ultra was my Dream Bike to own.
Couldn't afford to order one new and figured I'd eventually find a good one used ??
Well, 10 years later.. I finally got my 100th Annv. Bike.
That Blue Ultra is still a bit far out of my price range for my situation as it is today, so... this is not my Dream Bike but it's pretty darn close !
You don't find many of the 100th bikes with the original seat and windshields on them, also harder to find one Unmolested !!
This bike come with quite a story too:
The owner sadly had passed away in 2010, his daughter sold the bike to me just a few months before the end of 2012.
Bike has just over 103,000 Miles on her and she runs/looks Fantastic !!
What a well maintained bike, the dealer near Buffalo that sold this just mailed up all the service records to me in Canada.
Nice people at Gowanda Harley.
Bike is pretty much stock with the basic bolt on items, good reliable, great looking bike that I can potentially put another 100,000 miles on ?
The rest of this winter will be about a complete inspection of all the wear parts, fix what ever I find and hopefully be on the road for this Spring.
