Yeah, it is pretty good riding with the woman... I do not like her to take off by herself, like to and from work.....Just do not trust the dumbasses

I had so much fun riding tonight!!!
I'm really proud of myself for doing so well on the big roads...only a couple of times did I really get freaked out, and the STFF was not nearly as bad tonight as it has been in previous days' practices. (STFF = Sphincter-Tightening Fear Factor....LOL, I just now made that one up.)
Didn't have any close calls or near-drop experiences this time, and I feel more confident with slow turns and slow driving, plus I seem to have gotten really good at balancing in first gear while barely moving, such as when I approach a red light when I know the light's about to change.

I'm starting to have fun while riding, now that I'm getting the hang of how not to fall over.
I do like taking trips to the "stealer", and tonight I bought myself a fresh new black Harley shirt with a skull and flames on it, and got it for a really good price. It's my first real Harley shirt, and now I feel even more authentic as a new initiate of the "Harley riding clan". Tonight I made a deal with Anubisss...I only get to buy something at the stealer if I drive there on my momo. Works for me!

I'm really really glad I got this bike, glad I took the MSF, and am so grateful that I have such a wonderful husband who wants to share this experience with me, who takes care of my bike, and who is helping me learn to be a good rider...I feel like the luckiest woman in the world.
Anubiss, you are right - life IS grand, and I love you baby! [sm=kissykissy.gif]

And to all of y'all here on the forum,...
...I'm grateful for your advice, suggestions, encouragement and friendship.
I'm proud to be a member of this brotherhood/sisterhood.
Miles of smiles to you all!

Scooter~

It's great that the two of you will always have these experiences and memories together. To me, there's nothing better! Enjoy.

Congrats Anubisss and Scootergrrrl, sounds like you guys are doing great. Anubiss, you have been doing a wonderful job at teaching and inspiring Scootergrrrl. Scotergrrrl, what can I say...your doing great, keep it up.It will only get better, when you can take off for a whole weekend to some event, or a cross country trip. Wow, how cool.

I am also learning from this experience. Motorcycles make my wife happy. And, I get to practice a lot of riding techniques that I would normally not practice. Slow speed maneuvering techniques are very important, and I can now do circles around anybody so easily. New riders always seem to find it odd that slow sped maneuvers are more difficult than high speed. LOL...Scootergrrl just has to stay focused, forget about all the cars. Hopefully the "pucker factor" will lessen each time she rides...

That's great that you guys get to share that. My wife seems perfectly content to ride behind me. For that I am thankful. But, how long did it take scootergirl to decide she wanted her own sled?
