I like the Silver and Black scheme . . . oh that's right . . . . it's not a "current" anniversary color . . .
I actually own a 100th anniversary bike . . . but FYI, do NOT buy one as any sort of investment! If you like the bike (and in my case I do) . . . go for it. I did, but I didn't pay a penny more than an '02 or an '04 of the same model. Save your money for someone other than the marketing guru's at Harley.
Althought we have three anniversary year bike's, only the '98 Heritage Springer (9400 miles) is a true Anniversary Edition.
My wife's '03 RK is in Luxury Rich Red (has less than 300 miles on it) and her '08 Heritage (10,000 miles) is in Crimson Red.
ALL, have the Anniversay badging an are accessorized failry well.
Doesn't look like (due to the fugly colors) that I'll get the real 110th Edition that I had planned on but I can still add a 110th badge to it somehwere.
Nah, for real? They cannot be slapping a $10k premium on them and have them actually sell in this economy. Back in the 90's I would've believed it, but now??? I call BS! Not on you, but on the salesman for the price he quoted you. Unless I actually see a bill of sale, I ain't buyin' it. (no pun intended)
Yeah, I think maybe he thought I was gonna jump on that price. Shouldn't they have to go by the price on the HD website. I figure a Lo Annie model should only be about 20,500 after setup up fews and all.
I like the 2013 110th Anniversary offerings, but I don't buy into having a new anniversary model made up every 5 years. 100th Anniversary made sense, but 105 and 110 is nothing more than marketing hype. It will be interesting to see if they have a 115th anniversary (maybe I should place my order now).

I agree. Marketing strategy to sell bikes and nothing more. I bought mine because I actually liked the colors and because the dealer gave me a good break on price, since it was test model. I remember thinking when I was looking at it, "105th anniversary model??? That's kinda dumb, but I do like everything else about this bike." I also bought it to ride, not as an "investment" thinking the value was going to go up as time went on...
I don't think having more options available at the dealer is a bad thing.
They...the business have to come to us....the buyer if they want to sell. As long as buyers are coming to the sellers, prices will be out of control high. CVO's cost a fortune because the MOCO has convinced people that they are worth the money. If they sat on the floor for 2 years unsold, you can bet your *** they would clearanced!
Today I looked at a new CVO RoadKing.....same price as the Streetglide CVO was last year, but now you DON'T get a fairing and stereo! You get speakers and wiring for playing your MP3/iPod ONLY. Somebody will buy it anyway....same money, less stuff....only in the USA!
So keep what you have until the bring the deal to you. Alot of bikes out there next to new right now......some dealers apparently haven't figured that out....the only thing the dealer has going for it, is they can finance new and used.
