looking for advice on a purchase
Found an 05 Sporty for sale and Im thinking about picking it up for the Mrs. I've talked with the owner and his story is that it was his sisters bike, she road it 84 miles then parked it. That was late '06. It sat in the garage until she called him a couple weeks ago and asked him to sell it (he's a rider & MSF instructor). The bike now has around 370 miles on it because he's been riding it and done some maintenace on it.
My questions:
Warranty - does anyone know if you can purchase an extended warranty for a bike that's been out of warranty that long on a bike that hasn't been purchased at the dealer?
Rubber - I'm sure the nubs will still be on the tires, but after sitting for 5 years or more, is the rubber road-worthy? If I buy the bike, should I replace the tires?
Any other thoughts are welcome as well.

I found basicallly the same thing 06 sporty low and gave 3650 for it exactly a year ago,kept it about 9 months and flipped it to cheap for 5600$ as that was all the market would bear.Shortly after that nada upped the book value and the kid who bought it sold it for 6500$ and bought a new wide glide
