OP, I believe the people in this thread are bustin' your *****. Just click on someone's profile who has something in their "garage" to get ideas.
Are you telling me that the suggestion of putting all the near empty cans of paint, you know, the ones that are nearly all dried out,is wrong and they are not the items to put in "the garage"?

Heck, I thought he was talking about his garage at his house as well. I thought that a little strange question but then I've seen some pretty strange things posted on here.

I have yet to even figure out how to put things in my "garage" (nor have I really spent any time actually trying).
By going to your USER CP (control panel) located on this site's top tool bar and then select photos and albums in the left column.
Uploads have to be of a certain size, both aspect wise (pixels) and total size of pictures file size, as in so many MB's or KB's. Often a photo-shop software will allow you to re-size, and compress your photos to fit the requirements to post.
If your a new member you must have a certain number of posts to be able to see, or even post photos.
I thought it was a real garage he was talking about too. Best answer was the wife's stuff ... lol, oh and anything easy to steal. Funny stuff.
Good luck posting ... and to answer the REAL question ... you are allowed to put anything of interest in your garage photos. Sexy women next to your ride will attract more viewers ... lol
