Before I got into scooters, I was a huge gear head and totally involved in the car club community. I was a moderator on one of the discussion boards, and let me tell you first hand, dealing with repeat threads does get time consuming. I used to spend hours on the computer moving threads, deleting threads, and answering questions that had been answered a million times.
The OP has a great idea, unfortunately it won't help anything. The point of the discussion board is so someone can log in, post a question, and get some answers. It's not a library, or a card catalog. I know it gets annoying sometimes, but the answer to that is don't open the thread.
If each topic that is commonly discussed was made into a "sticky", you would have 7 pages of sticky before you got to the meat and potatoes!
Which side to get on and off? Is that really an issue? Wow.
Wait a minute, you guys get on from the side?! I've always got on my bike old cowboy hero style. You know, go behind the bike, run towards it and jump up, planting my hands on the back fender and swing up onto the seat. I'll have to try that side thing and see if it is easier or not!
I don't understand why people are offended when you tell them to do a search. I would do it a lot more, as a helpful suggestion, but I don't, because I don't want to hear the whining.
The new search on my Android is terrible. Might be more accurate, but only a few entries per page. And the results aren't dated. Maybe I'll quit searching, too.
