Engine Surges
What is causing my engine to surge.???
It surges in 3rd & 4th gears (4 speed tranny) between 35 & 45mph while cruising.
Could it be the timing off, sending a wrong signal to the ECM.??
ECM going bad.??
It has a good VOES switch.

1986 Evo Sportster 883/1200 conversion..
newly tuned rebuilt CV carb...
Stock other than that.
I noticed the surging after installing new clutches.

Ugggg ur carbed Sporty doesn't have an ECM..
Also might ask this in the Sporty section, U'll probably get a lot more answers.
surging is usually, Air/Fuel, elc, or timing issue. of any combo of them.
