I am very glad you are ok. In regards to the post about fault: The law doesn't put the other driver at fault when you lose control of your vehicle trying to avoid an accident. This applies to bikes and cars.
Yep! Had a buddy find out the hard way about this one. Luckily, the only damage was a big scratch on the bars. Oh well, could've been much worse. She actually never even stopped.
Wife got T-boned last month in her car that way.. We have to always look before pulling out from anywhere.
At a stop light I always give it a few secs before I start moving out, bike or cager just to make sure I don't get hit by someone that running it.

I laid my bike down doing about 55 trying to avoid someone that turned left in front of us and insurance paid for repairs, hospital bills, and pain and suffering..
Im glad your ok,, It is my belief that alot of accidents are preventable.., driving, or at work or home.. you describe the truck as coming out of nowwhere,,lets be honest.. yes she ran the light, but you can also describe her as the truck that didnt seem to be slowing down approaching the intersection if you were looking to make sure it was safe.
Glad your are all right. I am not meaning to rain on your parade or add salt to the wounds but here it is. You probably avoided a more serious injury than pride and property. I hope you figured out that even though you had the green light and you were in the right. Not seeing her before you had other options besides the choice to lay it down was a mistake on your part. Nothing worse than being dead right. This is a learning experience for you and a few others that posted without realizing your mistakes.
It's great that you came away relatively unscathed, just rattled. Could have been worse. Just wondering if your rear wheel locked up and that's why it went down?
Glad your ok, it doesnt matter if you had the right away when your dead, maybe i look at things a little differant, people say why didnt you do this or you should of done that, its easy to sit on a computer and tell someone else what they should of done in a split second when ya dont even know what you would of done. ok i agree with looking both ways before even taking off from a red light just to make sure, but its the simple things we dont do sometimes and even being right it still f*^ks your **** up, good thing is, you got to go home and play with the wife and kids afrterwords, accidents happen, yeah most all can be avoided but she screwed up just like we all do, she was lucky it didnt kill anyone, maybe that will make her look out for others more. Your alive, your bike is still rideable and the sun comes up tomarrow for ya, say your prayers thank your God, Love your Family, and smile the whole time your fixing the scratches on your bike, it so could of been way worse, good job, ride safe.
