This is a trick question right? lol

The bike goes inside. The truck stays outside.

Squeeze it in the garage. Leave it till March. Winter is not for motorcycles.

I should have been more clear. I have a carport style garage. It is not enclosed. It is an older Town Home style setup converted to a condo complex. Either way, the bike will be exposed to extreme colds in the winter. I do not have enclosed garage storage. I can park the bike in the current 'garage' space I park my truck but that will do nothing to alleviate the cold. Snow will also get in. I will be covering it either way.
'
Was just looking for general advice from people who have had their bike stored in the cold while not riding.

My bike stayed in the carport for the first two years with a good breathable cover, since it wasn't getting wet under the roof, against the wall. Because the cover was breathable, the bike never "sweated."

Since then, she's got her own shed. Because I live in NC where salt is a rarity, ( just a brine solution a couple of times per season,) there is little corrosion and the bike takes me to work every day year round unless there is snow on the roads, ( and that was just once last year.)

I've always kept my bikes outside in a carport since 1996- I generally use a outdoor astro turf rubber mat for the bike to sit on. I cover it with a small car heavy cover- and anchor it with 5lb dumbell plates. I have a portable electric heater that I bring under the cover when doing an inspection on cold nights.

The cycle shell is on my new list.

That works for me , if I had to leave one out think that would be the ticket . Only thing I see with a town house & carport is that it would a pain in the *** storing when your using the bike . Lot of put up & take down time for the occasional cold ride .

I saw a clever inflatable shelter somewhere once. It had a small compressor that not only kept the structure inflated, it also circulated the air inside the bubble.

I'll see if i can find it.
