Doesn't like the chrome . Yeah right, just wait. I said the same thing too. Buying used is great, the previous owner of my bike put about 2000 to 3000 dollars worth of upgrades in the bike like Chrome Front End, Macunni Carb, Rinehart True Duals, Screamin Eagle Ignition module just to name a few. Stuff I now don't have to do. I think you get more when you buy used.
So far, I have spent about $300.00 or so on chrome stuff. I have a shopping list of a lot more though, just debating (I Master in that) on what to get. First thing though is that stock Road King seat has to go, period. New seat is number one on the list.
Congrats . Some of the 05's had Valve seal problems. Make sure they give you a warranty and check your oil before you start to put any miles on it . Then check it every 500 miles . If it has the bad seals you wont see any smoke or smell burning oil but you will see a serious drop in oil within 1000 miles . If at the 500 mile check you see you are down 1/2 quart chances are you need the seals . Once you see that you are down a quart or more before you hit the 1000 mark then you definetly need seals . If at the 500 mark it is still at the full you are most likely ok . Just make sure you get a warranty
