I thought this to be a funny forum subject. As a first time Harley owner, the whole name thing had me so confused. I had buddies saying I should get the Road Glide, or a Road King, or a Ultra Classic, or a..................yada yada. Then I start looking at the Harley web site and on line models.
Lord have mercy, my head was hurting. My wife's friend thinks I got a
"Ultra Springer Road Glyder Soft Bob Tailed Fat Boy King V-Rodded Switchback Dyna Electro Herritage Wide Glide Classic 48-72 Limited CVO" or something like that. It really don't matter what you call them.
I can't name many Harley's yet, but I'm getting better. When we are with our new Harley owner friends, we have fun naming off odd combos when trying to ID a Harley.

You can call my bike an Electra Glide, or you can call it an Ultra, or you can call it a Limited but you doesnt hasta call it a Electra Glide Ultra Limited FLHTK Touring Bike
Either of these would work because thay are all part of the model name.
I would refer to it as a Limited just calling it an Ultra would be downplaying it. Both nice bikes but if I were looking for a limited I would over look any ads for a Ultra.
The part that gets me is when people add extra words I.E. deluxe ultra limited
"Ultra Springer Road Glyder Soft Bob Tailed Fat Boy King V-Rodded Switchback Dyna Electro Herritage Wide Glide Classic 48-72 Limited CVO" or something like that.
When I ride my '67 FL Shovelhead I run into guys who think its a Panhead thats been converted to a Shovel cause the only Shovels they know are the Cone motor Shovels.
