Usually when something doesn't feel right to me, a ride on the bike straightens it out. Everyone is different though so, you do what you know works.

If I listened to that little voice, I'd have quit my job, would be sucking the governmental teet, and staying home.

Instead, I take the scoot out, crank her up to 90, and breathe in some free air and realize I'm not a slacker loser that blames everyone else for my problems.

If I live another day, I live. If I die today, I die. Not like I'll really know the difference, and it's not like I really care either way. The world got on without me just fine before I was born, so I'm sure it will be fine after I bite the dust.

Smart move-

I had a feeling one day - something wasn't right in the universe or whatever.

A bunch of guys came over to get me on a ride and I said I wouldn't and why.

They laughed and called me ***** and all that and finally took off.

A little bit later on a bridge a guy's kicker came off- hit another guy in the arm forcing him to veer into a bike and causing that bike to hit the bridge, tearing the rider's leg off,.throwing him off the bridge- and the passenger breaking her back on the bridge grating. not to mention the 5 or 6 people laying their bikes down around the carnage.

Whether it was genuine or not- I listen to my senses every minute and so far-so good.

Beautiful day out today and I really want to do a putt to the lake, but my "little" voice is telling me to wait until tomorrow. The boss, my wife, says I can't go because I just had a liver biopsy this morning. Damn voices.

Had that feeling once or twice before, and I tend to listen to them. Whether it puts me driving the four wheeled boring machine or just taking a different route, I like to think it was for a reason.

I have had "strange vibes" while riding. Several times I've been riding, everything is fine, then all of a sudden that unexplained uneasy feeling comes over me. THis has ALWAYS been on the highway, and I have no problem on the highway, in fact I am one of those strange ones that actually LIKES most highways! So when it has happened, I have slowed down until that feeling passed, then continued on. I have learned to trust my instincts because any time I don't, I have regretted it.

I feel safer on the highway. Everybod's going roughly the same speed, same direction, no one coming at you from a side street or turning left in your path, you can out-accelerate most everybody to get out of tight spots but if you have a blow-out or hit a shovel - you're toast.
Speaking of which, yesterday I cruised home on the highway (75-80mph) & when I exited and tried to take the turn into my neighborhood the bike was very difficult to turn. Felt like some thing wrong up front. Pulled into a gas station and my back tire was flat as a board. Talk about luck, there's no way that sucker was flat while I was up on the highway.

Sometimes tires will not go flat from centrifugal force until you slow down.

That feeling is similar to the "Aw Crap!" moment...except it's sooner.
The "AW Crap!" moment is scraping the boards on a curve in the middle of nowhere, and finding a squad car on the other end, shooting radar out of a private rural driveway.
Cost me 125 bucks. First bike ticket ever, in over 30 years. Crap.
