Default Back Patch

So a few guys I ride with were wanting to join a veteran riding club. The bad thing is we are all still in the guard. So we already have to work at least 1 weekend a month and in our time off would like to do what we want. We are in the process of starting a riding club. Just a few vets getting together and riding once in awhile. Has anyone got any back patches made or know where to get them done. Thanks

I don't know where to get patches made, but if you have all served in combat and you'd rather join a group with 6,000-7,000 members, rather than make up your own riding club, there's:
http://www.combatvet.org/

With an Oregon chapter:
http://www.cvmaoregon.org/

You can still do what you want on the weekends - the amount of group activity varies by chapter, but it's not an MC so nothing is "mandatory."

brenn, Thanks for the response. The bad thing is I live on the east side of the state. There is not much over here. That chapter is over 250 miles away.

Locally you should be able to find a place that does embroidery. They will be able to put most any design you choose dirctly onto a jacket or vest. I had my name and design put on a leather jacket about 8 years ago at a local shop. It is still holding up and looks great. It was interesting. You pick out the design and the colors and they put the jacket in the machine and the whole process is computerized.

There is nothing around here within 200 miles. We are also looking for about a 12x12 inch back patch.

In Kentucky there is only one chapter. many members are that far away from each other. When there are enough members over a distance, they usually form a new chapter or a detachment. We have a detachment in Paducah, for the western KY members. Other states have numerous chapters all over the state.
