The more chrome the better. IMO. There are way to many blacked out bikes. Sons of Anarchy ruined the bikes. Everybody wants to be a TV show bad a$$ and jumped on the band wagon. Blacked out bikes where cool, when they were different.

Chrome is easy to clean and needs no polish...Back in the 70's there were many fly by night outfits that did quick and dirty chrome work without filling the outside gaps with copper. Some of those shops would lay copper on the inside of your gearcase cover and leave gasket material on the parts when dropping them into the vat. When the chrome peeled off within a year you learned a lesson!

Not to hijack the thread, but back in 1973 I had a new Ironhead Sportster that I had a lot of chrome work done by Brown's Plating in Paducah, KY. Man, it made that black bike look great!

Too much chrome? Is that even possible. I do like the look of the blacked out bikes though too. A good balance between black and chrome with a lot of the newer contrast parts coming out look great.
