good luck with the making up of rules that if broken have no real consequences. im just gonna ride when i feel like it and not make up excuses for why i should or shouldn't.
want to narrow that riding band up some more? just ride when the temperature is higher than your oil pressure and lower than your i.q.! of course down here in south texas that still gives us a wide range--oil pressure/temp. in the 40's up to a high temp./i.q. of 125 or so.
following this line of thought, any one that would live where it gets that cold probably is lacking in good sense/i.q. any how!! park that bike if the temp. gets up to 85 degrees. LOL. now don't go getting your panties in a wad--it is just a joke.
I'm almost to the point that I don't want to ride if temps are lower than my age!!
Oh yea, 60!
I never made that connection till now, but seems to be about right--when I was in my 30s I watched for ice, upped to 45 right before I retired (48), now I am 54 and I require at least 50.
I had to put the bike away since MD and DC decided to drop salt everywhere when it snowed over the weekend. We haven't had a heavy rain since and I've been getting pissy because of no motorcycle.
Some rules are made to be broken. Still, here in ND the highs have not been over freezing for weeks. It will be awhile until enough ice melts for me to ride again.
