Default SE Race Tuner

Just curious to see if the Tuner is committed to one specific bike or if its HD's way of increasing sales. Thanks

SE Super Tuner is a better product and it doesn't have to be married to any one bike, but there are better products out there than either of the SE tuners. Power Vision and TTS Mastertune to name two...

SE tuner marries to your bike. You can not use the tuner on another bike. The software is a different story.
The VCI auto records your vin from EFI.

From the manual:
"Can the user program more than one bike?
A: No. The Screamin' Eagle Pro Super Tuner VCI is a "single unit" design that permanently "mates" itself to the first ECM that it communicates with. The VCI can then be used an infinite number of times to program or record data with it's ECM mate, but will not be able to communicate with any other ECMs."

I stand corrected. I generally avoid SE products. Similar aftermarket products are generally superior.

Mine came with the bike, so that's why I use it. Otherwise? I think it's Powervision that is actually a variant of the SE tuner...

I had heard the TTS was also a hybrid version of the SE. Can anyone verify this?

I saw somewhere on another post that TTS was designed and created by the same developer that designed both of the SE Tuners. I haven't heard that about the Power Vision though.

This is incomplete information...
The SE Pro Super Tuner (SEPST) is NOT married to one bike, and can be used on as many bikes as you choose.
The SE Street Performance Tuner (SESPT) IS married to the bike.

Most dealers and the manual will tell you differently, but you need to talk to somebody who is not trying to break it off in your *** & sell you a new tuner every time you get a different bike. The pro tuner does not marry to one bike...I was told this by my dealer sales manager & service manager & they showed me their shop & tuning manual that states this, and I also know from personal experience. Trade your bike, keep the tuner.
