Reminds me of the "Iron Jaw" we used on 3/4 helmets in the late 70's riding dirt bikes.
Edit to add: I kind of like it.

Not sure how cops can ban a helmet. As long as it's within DOT compliance they can't do squat.

So, what exactly is the benefit to this helmet? A certified half-helmet, with 3/4 coverage, and a plastic "muzzle" for bug protection...

It looks interesting, but I don't see any real reason to have one. If you want a half helmet, there are definitely cheaper helmets, and if you want that kind of coverage, a 3/4 with a shield does it all, and is safer.
