No problems, it's not bad at all.

Ask me how my legs were doing after running the Pikes Peak Marathon back in the day and you will get a much different answer. )

Riding a Harley up Pike's Peak is easy on both you and the bike. I've done it many times.

Now here's something I've done a number of times that makes it a little harder. One year I did the Ascent on Saturday and the Marathon on Sunday

I did Mt. evans 2 yrs ago it is a little higer than pikes peak, w/ just a power commander, might have been a little rich but no problems. The only thing is a ranger told us morning is better as in the afternoons the storms come over. We got there in the afternoon and a front was coming in,rain sleet & cold in july but the view was worth it. The worst part was when we got to the top and the wife said she hoped the weather would be better going down the otherside and I had to tell her there was only one way up and one way down. LOL

Any of the high roads in Colorado are best attacked in the morning.Trust me,you don't want to be caught out in a thunder, lightning, and hail storm in the afternoon. Only thing I miss about that state are the world class high country rides.

bring water and an extra jacket. A 50 degree swing in temp is not unusual from the bottom to the top

Man, that makes me want to go back. I have not been to the Peak in about 20 years and remember stopping alongside the road to collect some crazy rocks. If you are in that neck of the woods you can also try the Royal Gorge.

Pike's Peak, Garden of Gods, Royal Gorge Bridge, Cripple Creek are all excellent places to ride!

I did Mt Evans a couple years go, didn't notice any difference in the way the engine ran up top. I guess the ecm did the adjustments as it was supposed to.

We'll be cruising through Colorado this summer and Pikes Peak is on the hit list. Glad to hear that it can be done easily with a harley, I was wondering the same thing.

It's not hard at all. Paved to the very top now, too.

I rode it this past summer on my 03 Heritage Springer. This bike has been converted to a jockey shift, and it was easy-peasy.

Plenty of switchbacks too, to get your fix!
