In Corpus Christi, TX at the highway interchange between SPID and the Crosstown Expressway. 70 miles per hour in 5 o'clock traffic I experienced the dreaded "failure mode" where she goes from heels in the wind to "Oh $h!t" where it does nothing more than idle. Thankfully I was just at the beginning of an exit and was able to thread through flying cars and make the exit before getting run over. 2 lanes of "I can get her in right there" as traffic shot by. WHEW!!!! Think I might have pooped myself a little.

Had a bud that was a bartender, and he would give me free shots. I stayed way to long at his bar one night and rode home pretty smashed. I thought i was taking an on ramp and jumped the curb and bent my front rim. Sobered me up pretty quick. It was 2am in a bad part of town, and i limped into a gas station that was open 24 hrs. I borrowed a hammer from the mexican owners of the place, and sat outside and hammered my rim back in place good enough for me to limp home.

That was on a shovelhead FXR. Last time i drove drunk. I''l still drink a beer or 2 when riding, but that's pretty much my limit....
