I keep the zip in rain liners from my armored textile jacket and pants rolled up in a saddle bag. Worked great for seven years so far.

I have a well made pair from leatherup, but I get quite a bit of water blowing up the leg and sleeves and down the collar in heavy rains and fast speeds.

I end up using duct tape to seal it all then it works well.....

I just use the cheap and lightweight stuff myself, usually keep a weatherproof jacket in the bag too which helps alot. If you go that route, I recommend getting pants with shoulder straps on them, otherwise they are so flimsy that the bottoms sometimes get under your heels. One of these days I may decide to get a higher quality set though.

I have waterproof boots, hd rain pants and fleece wp hoody. The hood keeps the rain water from running down your back.

I got this one from our dealership two yr ago when I started doing long trips.

I am fully satisfied with it.

A lot of others don't or won't even look a HD stuff,, But IMO some of the stuff they sell is really hard to beat.... PERIOD....

heres what I got and I think it as good as any and BETTER than most..

It cost me $126 with my discount....

I am totally happy with it. It breaths and keeps me DRY.. what else can I want..

I used to use Frogg Toggs but they always melted on my pipes. After going through several pair of pants, my wife finally took pity on my constant scrubbing with oven cleaner and got me some Tour Masters for christmas. No problems since.

I usually use jeans, boots and a t-shirt, really bad storms I have been known to tie a bandanna around my face gunfighter style. Sounds like the kind of rain gear most of youse guys need is a building of some sort, with widescreen TV's and people to bring you food and drinks. 1400 miles in a week!? With THAT much time and so little miles you will have lots of time to stop in such an establishment until the weather becomes more suitable for you.

Hehe, I thought we needed some real biker talk here.

Thanks to all that answered my question seriously. I just looked at the high vis from HD and I think that might be the way to go, along with a set of gators. Been cold and wet on the high way at 70. No fun.

Some HD rainsuit.

The only thing I would change about it is getting suspenders on the pants. I got mine 2 sizes too big on purpose so I could throw it over my backpack or leathers if needed. On the rare times I don't wear anything under it (scorching summer days), I look like a homie from the hood with the pants dropping down around my ankles.
