The Laffing Devils were an MC. Now, they are disbanded. Don't know the particulars, but the rumor is they got taken down by the COC. Don't expect there'll be a season 3 for them.
That being said, if they ever did a real reality show about a club, it would probably be real boring. Setting up for events, making runs to other club's parties, charity functions, and the like wouldn't really make for good TV. Most of the biker movies and such made for really good fiction. WHat was designed to scare everyone away from those "bad" people ended up popularizing them. But, just like SOA, it's mostly BS.
On a happier note, bikers raise over a half million dollars for charity down here on an annual basis. The events they put on are quite a draw, and normally, the proceeds and the toys they collect go to a local hospital charity. People work their tails off for nothing so that the kids can have a christmas and the hospital can get much needed equipment to save lives. The people who are critical of this don't realize that no one really cares about the PR angle. They are trying to do some good, which is a lot more than most are doing. And for a lot of these guys who came up without, it makes a difference.
Any club that will let a biker that doesn't own a bike join sounds like a great bunch of fellows.I probably will watch and pick them apart, complain about them until it is dry enough to ride
I have a tv out in my garage, and I usually have it on discovery channel or speed tv while I'm out there working on my bike or hotrod. I tuned in the devil's ride last year, when the forum pointed me at it.
I didn't pay a whole lot of attention, but I do remember a couple of scenes when this little guy was pretending to hold back a much bigger guy from putting a beat down on a former club member. The bigger guy, doing his part, was pretending to be held back by the little guy. That was funny as hell, but the really funny part was the little guy kept saying something like "the Bitch ain't worthy, the bitch ain't worthy". I frikkin laughed my *** off at that. That's about all I remember from that show, I'm surprised it's back on, it seemed pretty bad.
I'd like to see an episode where those pretend Amish guys face off against the pretend mc. That would be pretty funny, and I'd watch for sure.
I'm gonna sit in front of my TV and watch while drinking a couple of beers. Afterwards I'll go outside and start my bike up and rev the engine for a few minutes until I get my next door neighbor upset. Then I'll do it again next episode.
