Since you haven't gotten a straight answer yet, I will go on record as a professional with many years and miles of experience, and say without reservation that in fact, putting oil in your motorcycle greatly enhances your riding, and is highly recommended.
Can say for certain there are a lot of opinions on this subject.
My choice for lubricants in everything we own has been synthetics since the 70's.The last 15 yrs Amsoil in everything except antique tractors.

As long as you change it...75000 miles here and i have used , M1 vtwin, M1 15w40, napa 15w50, Syn 3, Valvoline 20w50... I don't worry about it too much...I buy what is on sale at the time....When you use Syn oil and change it at about 5000 miles it's only gone about half its life anyway so i figure i am treating my motor with class...
